Kelis claims estranged hubby Nas has left her high and dry … not offering her a penny in the wake of her impending birth … and she says she’s broke — “I have run out of money.”
WOW! I hope some of this can be cleared up before the baby gets here.
UPDATE! Sorta…. TMZ did more of a surface job the actually get down and dirty with the details. MTV.com gives a bit more info and the story and now we have a better picture of what she was talking about so get to clicking and read up on it.

I read the article on TMZ & it sounds like she is asking for ridiculous things…basically lifestyle support. Nas should only be expected to support his child & not the lifestyle of a woman who he is no longer with…especially given the fact that she is the one who filed for the divorce

I totally agree with you webs. I believe that Nas should only be responsible for his son and that she was able to maintain herself as she did before she was married. He will take care of his child i’m sure. Your not gonna get anywhere if your gonna expect a man to take care of you. Honey you were very dependent before you got with him. You can do and you should.

she was on twitter tweeting about how the people at Home Depot sucked b/c they say they can get any color paint but they looked at her like she was crazy b/c she wanted the color of her nail polish & how she wasn’t leaving until they got it right…so I believe you…but where the hell else do you get paint? Is there a celebrity paint store somewhere? If not, I don’t think getting paint at home depot makes you broke…& if she is broke then she has not managed her money very well…or she has decided to depend solely on a man (Nas) to provide for her
I always looked at Kelis as a strong, independent woman & this just does not epitomize that.

I hope Nas has a good prenup.. Cause, she’s looking for a good life and depending on her baby’s father till her kids’ like 21. I feel bad for him. You know she was always about she’s a strong woman, where’s this strong woman now. Before she asked for the divorce didnt she think about all this?

I don’t think Nas has a prenup…in “Getting Married” there was a line saying they spoke on a prenuptial agreement but they decided against it because “Will & Jada didn’t need it” — so, this explains her aggressiveness, in putting all of this info out to try to get as much spousal support, or what I call “lifestyle support” out of him as possible

well she didn’t actually say Destiny’s name… what happened is that on Father’s day she tweeted about how she didn’t know any good fathers & everybody assumed it was a shot at Nas.
If she was talking about Nas then my question is why would you marry a man who is a bad father to his current child…& then if you didn’t notice it until a while into the marriage then why would you get pregnant with his child.
She is being the lowest of the low right now & this is coming from a Kelis fan…

so now Kelis is trying to move the court date sooner because she is so broke & wants Nas to start being her paycheck…I swear, its really starting to look like she was using Nas for his $$$ — never saw Kelis as the gold digger type but with each move she makes now its becoming more & more apparent. I’m pretty disappointed actually.

Come On Now!.. Give that woman a break, we do not know the circumstances of the situation with her and Nas. Furthermore, why is it so wrong for her to say she is broke? Why should we feel sorry for Nas? He married her back then and her impregnated her..his decision, his actions, no one forced him, what about that little boy? Should he suffer? NO HE Should Not. Understand that Kelis will be the primary care giver, not Nas. Nas is a favorite of mine but in this instance he needs to be a MAN, and I do mean a fair man and step up to the plate and respect his son and handle his business.We should pan back on Kelis because only she and Nas know the real of what is going on in their lives.Let’s not be so quick to judge… NUFF SAID

I’ve been a loyal kelis fan since her debut..I am shocked to see this whole situation pan out the way it is…now as the public we don’t really know what has truley gone down to create this mess..but between the rumors of nas cheating,the not yet seen kelis sex video somewhere out there,carmens book,the divorce details…damm its just all to much and hard to ignore..creativly I don’t like the direction she has gone with her music she has strayed away from what we loved about her when she was the curly haird boom bonic pow..and I must say this scandle makes me look at her a bit sideways why does she need nas to support her lifestyle when she makes rolyalites and will be able to preform again when she gets settled with the baby? She should live within her means..I took her to be one of the ones who were not effected by the industry in the flashy bling supperfical way..nas is only responsible for knight 55,000 a month is just too much he will eventually have to file bankrupcy…she’s coming off like a gold digger and it does look like she secured her bank account by getting preggs…I wish her the best and will be watching for photos of her new marshmello I hope she can find true happiness..oh and would love to see her back in studio with the neptunes maybe knight and pharells son will grow up to be super music heros
