1. In the past 4 months, what has been the most difficult part of motherhood? Most fun?
Just lugging around all this stuff around! Most fun has been just seeing him grow up, and seeing him smile. He wakes up at 5 in the morning just smiling at me because he has no sense of time (laugh).
2. When will you be shooting the video for “Acapella”?
Probably at the end of January.

3. Are there any features on the album?
Not right now, but I would like to work with La Roux.

4. The new album sees a total change of direction for you. Do you worry that people won’t ‘get it’ this time around?
Did they get me the last time? (laugh) I mean honestly, you guys [fans] get me, so that’s all that matters.

5. NOW THAT YOU ARE A CERTIFIED CHEF, DO U PLAN TO SERIOUSLY PERSUE A CAREER IN FOOD? YOU’VE MENTIONED A SAUCE LINE, BUT ARE THERE PLANS FOR A RESTAURANT/EATERY OF ANY KIND?
I would love to open a restaurant. I’ve told my manager that they’ll get 18 months with this album and then I’m doing my own thing for awhile (laughs).

6. I can’t help but notice the influence that you have on other artists when it comes to style and fashion. Do you ever get annoyed when people make a huge deal about another artists’ style when you were doing what they are doing now years before without credit?
(Pause) Not really. Honestly, these girls are 20 years-old, and I’m 30. Seeing them mimic me is recognition enough. Also, I’ve been doing interviews all day, and everyone asks me, “How do you feel about this person taking your style?”, so I’m getting some credit.

7. Can you please rock that green/blue/blonde/black bob you rocked for oyster magazine at least one more time? I so loved that creation! (SILVER MULLET IS BAD ASS THOUGH)
That was the shit, huh? (laugh) I don’t know, I may do a bob again. I like a bob. Probably not in that color though.

9. Would you consider becoming an actress? Any movie plans in the future?
You know what’s funny? I get offered roles ALL THE TIME, but they suck. I’d love to do it though. Most people don’t know, but I went to La Guardia, and my major was Drama, not music.

10. What’s next on your list of things to conquer?
Oh, gosh. Um… Motherhood, of course. Traveling, getting my sommelier certification, opening a restaurant. Just living and loving life.

Kelis, the true fans are looking forward to your new album and life direction. 10yrs weve been together(in my mind,lol) You are constantly changing which is a good thing, it keeps the blood flowin’. Will be up bright and early that tuesday the album drops. Like with“Kelis was Here” Keep it sexy!peace
